Greenpeace is so amazing! Greenpeace is a place for people who care about the earth, in several countries, including Indonesia. Incredibly, friends! They dare to do high-risk action.
Last October, Greenpeace Indonesia, forced to stop forest destruction activities by a paper company in Riau. After twenty-seven hours, arguing, finally the paper company had stopped all their activities and their business license will be reviewed.
With actions such as saving the climate, as they did, they managed to show the world: if we have the spirit and great determination to do what is right and important, do not be ashamed especially afraid! It takes the sacrifice of time and effort. But, as long for something useful for the crowds, why not?
So far, between friends, I was the most talkative person in the matter which concerns keep clean, efficient energy, planting trees, or utensils can be washed better than disposable Styrofoam.
If it is get together, the few male friends who smoke usually throw the cigarette butts into the street they used away without disabled. And when it was so, I'm only one who stubbed out cigarettes and throw it in the trash while starting a "lecture" about how important it is to keep our earth's health. My friends just laughed and said : " Oh well my dear Nies, do not have to like it. So, the people do not necessarily care about the earth, so why should we are struggling? Bothered, while people still take it easy ".
Always like this, relying on people. This is a dangerous disease that make young generations discouraged. I often do they talk back, "Why do people always have to wait before? Why not us who started, and then invite them to follow-up? This world does not need the people who likes to be follower, and do not need the same people who are embarrassed or afraid to become change agents".
If I had not been successful, I usually say: "Guys, let’s think! Even if you have two suitcases of money, but if you do not keep our planet from global warming, and one day our world was really devastated and we cannot live anymore, where you want to live? You are smoking, traveling with their vehicles, littering, do not plant trees, you know if that's all aggravate the condition of our earth?
